This whole issue is
not going to go away without being seriously investigated
The Amicus Brief will be entered as evidence in the Senate Intelligence Investigation and in the book. This has the making of a movie written all over it. ...Mel Gibson or Clint Eastwood could do it justice.

I agree completely. This grows every day, there's no putting this toothpaste back in the tube!

Hello, Zon, I am going to do something which could render me verbally abused,,,understand this is for the sake of debate only.
I will play devil's advocate. What if the CIA knew that there was not enough hard evidence to launch an offensive against Iraq? What if the current administration "encouraged" the CIA to create the basis ("proof") needed to achieve the desired outcome? What if the CIA was angry about having to piece together a fabrication to give the president "legal authority" to launch such an action? Then, if the evidence (on the ground) did not quite match the argument to proceed the president could place blame on the CIA..."It was sound evidence to the best of my knowledge...the agency who supplied me thought..." Of course, to protect the president the CIA would be harshly criticized and take the fall. Bitter feelings on the part of the CIA. So, in revenge the CIA launches their offensive to have revenge on the man that made them the goat.
Given the fact that no citizen can know without doubt exactly what the government's motives are or what they have done (or will do) for it's sake, it may be that this will be swept under the rug via a Broadway style investigation. Yes, toothpaste can't be put back into the tube but the government may try to swallow squeeze and all.
