Cracking down on businesses that hire these illegals is the only real solution to this problem coupled with better control of our borders. If businesses don't hire them, they won't come here for jobs, simple. It is against the law for these people(businesses) to hire illegals and they should be dealt with, fined and thrown in jail. This would discourage other businesses from hiring. We need to start there. If Wal-Mart is guilty then they should pay, but so should all businesses that hire illegals.

Take another look. The new ones have merely brought their ways with them. Shouldn't be a surprise. It was Gummint that allowed them in, and it is Gummint that should insist on integrating the new ones into our world of formal property rights. The new ones are already extralegal, and cracking down on legal business is closing the barn door after the animals have fled. Wrong place to look.

Working for a wage should not be a crime. It is the job of government to control the borders and kick people out who don't belong here. Government and libs are the hypocrites here. Why should we punish WalMart for hiring illegals when the government provides FREE SERVICES to these same people?
1) It is illegal for a school to ask your immigrant status when you enroll in school.
2) Illegal immigrants get in-state tuition at state universities.
3) Hospitals are NOT permitted to ask illegal status before providing care - emergency or otherwise.
4) Other social services are provided to illegals and the government does not ask for immigration status.
5) Police are not allowed to check immigration status when making arrests.
The list goes on and on. Businesses are not law enforcement. Why do we expect them to check immigrant status when we don't even allow government agencies to do the same thing?
Why do we prosecute Walmart for paying wages for work done when the governments gives money to the same people for no work?
Yes, I'm mad as hell about this! (sorry to take it out on you.)

You're right.
And anyone who hires a construction crew who have illegals working there should be fined as well.
