This is what uncontrolled immigration gets you.

American's have been finding this out for 20 years now.

My other thought is that we really can't be sure of what is happening. The MSM gets almost all stories wrong, except for the most basic of facts.

In this case, you can be certain of a few things from their stories:

  1. There is a country named "France"
  2. There are "youths" in "France"
  3. There are cars in "France"
  4. "France" will surrender soon
(I threw in that last one myself, but it's a pretty safe deduction.) :-)

I agree in the sense that, if we agree that France is getting what it "deserves", then we have no moral ground in protesting when other people claim that we "deserved" 9/11. A better way to phrase the poll might be to ask whether the current rioting was an expected result to a policy of constant appeasement and surrender. You are also correct in that the rest of Europe and the Islamofascists are watching closely. If the French do not begin an immediate, forceful and protracted response (which I doubt the Chirac government has the political will to do) then this will be rightly viewed as weakness and will result in the emboldening of the Islamofascists with subsequent increases in the frequency and intensity of future attacks.

Don't forget #5 - none of this would have happened if Bush would have signed Kyoto.

No, but what has gone on thus far is a "good start" at it.

Touche! My sentiments exactly!

I used to listen to The Captain when I lived in Boston. Sandy used to make me ashamed to be female.

She was such a simpering, hive-minded knee-jerk libidiot.

VB, though, was the man. And Giles was pretty funny when he wasn't half in the bag--which was always.

Exactly. Right on target. While we may think that Chirac and de Villepin (sp?) are getting what they deserve, there is nothing else to rejoice about in this. It is a call to arms for Western Civilization to stand up or be destroyed.

I'm in the other 7%. I think it deserves a lot worse, this isn't nearly enough to qualify.

I peeked in over at DU a while ago to see what they were saying about the Paris Intifada.

It was apparently off their radar screens. After really searching, I found one article out of lots and lots of anti-GWB conspiracies, and it started out by some genius asking if anybody knew what they were rioting about.

This is vile and foolish.

And well deserved.

I'm sorry, but I disagree with the taking of this poll.

It is not up to me, you, or any of us to decide what the Country of France deserves.

True, that all people and nations have to face consequences.

I am very grateful that I have NOT gotten what I deserve. Therefore, I am guarded in judging what others deserve.

France's best shot at the violence ending is the fact the Muslim youth are probably as backward, socially inept, lazy and stupid as their Muslim parents and they will just get tired of rioting. Of course the French could still surrender first or just continue being pompous French and snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.

For years the French acted like their biggest worry was an english word or two sneaking into their vocabulary.

While they were watching for any American slang sneaking in, they were invaded by hordes of malcontents with evil intentions.

Typical Howie Carr simplistic poll question. Should be, "Do you think the French Moooslims are getting what they deserve?"
