Conservative Christians sitting by so self righteous because they're not going to "vote for ANY evil, lesser or otherwise", well I understand it, but they're DEAD WRONG! You fight to get the RINO in if that's your only choice, and then you fight down the line to get a REAL conservative in. Baby steps are sometimes the ONLY steps you can take.

Each party has their own dynamics, Republicans get the Christian vote because of certain stances they take...RINOs up north have a better chance of getting into office because there are enough conservatives who do not only let morals be the cause for their vote, but if you want a Conservative Christian vote then the morals have to be there.

Thats why all of these people who want Condi or Rudi to be the next president will have us lose to the democrats....the die hard moral vote which makes up enough chunk of our party to have our side lose or win an election if they show up or not will never show up for a non-moral candidate no matter how Republicans whine.

You want their vote you need to give them something to vote for, otherwise you get what you asked for.

Well see, I don't get that. I am a "die hard moral voter" and my Christian convictions are what lead my voting philosophy, but for Pete's sake there is NOTHING to be served by sitting by and not supporting a Republican that is at least mostly conservative, in effect giving a vote to a flaming corrupt liberal socialist like Corzine by NOT voting, effectively cancling out a liberal vote. I do not subscribe to that kind of logic. I wish RINOS were conservative and don't like the liberal tendencies of some liberals.

Like in PA, I wish Toomey would have been Seantor instead of Specter, but the hard cold fact of it is, Toomey didn't have a PRAYER in PA in it's currend political configruation. Specter did. If Toomey had beaten Specter, even though Toomey reflects the values of people like me more often, he would have lost in the general election and that seat would be a democrat seat and the Republican Senate Majority would be 54. That's just the reality of it. I don't like the RINOS, but if they were all democrat seats, it would be a 48 Republican seat minority, 1 jeffordcrat, and 51 democrats. And how much do we think we'd get done in the Senate then with Senate Majoriry leader Reid?

I'm a solid "die hard" Christian voter, but I'm also a realist, and charging head long into a ten foot fortified wall, with a trench infront of it and riflemen all along the top of the wall isn't my idea of standing firm to principle. It's my idea of STUPID!!! You pick and choose your fights carefully and when it comes to politics and the military, you don't pick a fight you KNOW you will lose. That's stupid. The Bible doesn't advocate that kind of shortsightedness. One can stand up for their beliefs, and fight bit and piece to get them as the majority, and fighting to help elect Forrester will be better for the continuing growth of the national conservative movement, than being apathetic and just allowing corzine to win because of mass conservative inaction. That is just plain stupid and stubborn beyond reason.
