Western Europe is in trouble.

If I could start my own country, my laws would stipulate that immigrants are on probation until they learn to speak the official language and INTEGRATE.

Aw - Detroit is way ahead of Paris. They had their car-(and building) burning riots 40 years ago. Then corruption set in. I think the rioters are in city hall.

My brother has lived in Frankfort for more than 30 years, his next door neighbor's daughter is an officer in Offenbach.Having talked to her many times I think it's safe to say the Muslims have picked the WRONG PLACE to start their S--T.

All the citizens have guns there and they like using them??? Yes/No

Can you answer your own question? Are you aware of the state of Germany's gun laws?

This will be the newly formed government of Germany's first crisis.

How they deal with this will determine whether the government will be effective or a complete failure.

I'm betting the German people are not going to be putting up with this type of anarchy.

"Can you answer your own question? Are you aware of the state of Germany's gun laws?"

No, don't know, waiting to see what folks here say. Some sound confident Germans will handle quickly? We'll see.

Muslims Clerics have been calling for their subjects to rise up for a long time. That time may be NOW.

My understanding is that per capita gun ownership is lower than in the U.S. (that should come as no surprise), but the only real differences are the minimum age of ownership, and a "mental capacity" certificate needed for younger owners.

Frankly, I think that it has been repeated so often that Europe is a "disarmed" continent, that folks no longer bother to check the facts. The only country I know of that has actually banned handguns is the UK.

"I have a feeling the Germans are going to handle this very differently."

Perhaps. OTOH, one thing both the French and the Germans have in common is a general acceptance of and belief in the virtues of socialism. I have read here of quite a few cries from Frenchmen that the remedy is more socialism; it wouldn't surprise me to hear German politicians saying the same thing.

I live and work in Berlin frequently, and from my
experience there it really could be anything.

The suburb (Kiez) involved - Moabit - is what comes close
to a ghetto featuring high unemployment rate (23% or so) and
a high percentage of migrants with a low level of integration and the potential for violence against each other. You cannot compare it to the wastelands of the Paris
banlieue though, imho.

Violence like this in Moabit (or other problem suburbs like Neukölln) is usually attributed to unemployed youth - and
there it could be any faction - german, turkish, russian, eastern europe, arab, you name it. I dont think that radical islam plays an important role, if at all.

That said, five torched cars really dont make anybody cry
foul in Berlin, especially not the riot police who is used
to organized "protesters" entering the capital annually on 1st of May, "demonstrating" with stones and molotov cocktails.

So yes, authorities should pay very close attention to incidents like this (and _act_ swiftly and
decidedly), and no, i dont think that there will be
a Paris situation in Berlin.

When the last Los Angeles riots occurred, within a day or two after the start, disturbances started in other cities. The other mayors clamped down hard. I remember one black mayor in Atlanta, I think, who said, 'they are not gonna burn down my city'.

All of europe will be lost if this is allowed to continue in other countries. France has lost all semblance of authority.

Apparently the french lefties who entered into the Unholy Alliance forgot to read the fine print. That print stated plainly that in the end the islamic terrorist would turn on them. Poland and Russia must hold the eastern front. Once again Britain must fight to hold the Western Front.
