If you're talking about ending the present situation, I agree. It was a tremendous error not to have jumped on this real hard the third day or so. This looking like an intifada now.

France needs its Kent State moment. The Kent State moment is the moment at which the state demonstrates that their is a legal distinction between freedom of expression and freedom to destroy. The state has to point that out with .556 rounds. That's the only form of media people will listen to, once the situation gets as badly out of hand as France has gotten.
