What a shame! Ang Lee's Sense and Sensibility (1995) was a wonderful movie. Too bad he drank Hollywood's Kool-Aid. I'll never be able to watch that movie the same way again.

Sense and Sensibility is one of my all time favorites. It was sheer joy. The acting, superb....

What a shame! Ang Lee's Sense and Sensibility (1995) was a wonderful movie.

So was his Ride with the Devil (1999). One of my favorite Civil War films. Notable because in this film the good guys fought for the Confederacy and the villans fought for the Union. I thought it would've been too politically incorrect for Hollywood. Jewel (the singer) was pretty good in it as well.
