When I said ... "It's just that I have limited amounts of ammo ... " I based that on the amount of ammo needed to burn out the barrel of what ever weapon I am using.

Thanks for the heads up though. I do need some more .30-06. ;)

Excellent rule of thumb!

Q: "How much ammo should I have on hand?"
A: "Enough to burn out every barrel you've got."

It's not an unreasonable/absurd amount.
