Right. That's exactly what I found except that the parts about forgiveness always entail that those "to be forgiven" acknowledge "the way of Allah." So it's certainly not a string-free foregiveness and in the very few instances that there is an allowance for non-muslims to be given the opportunity to live in peace, it certainly isn't reassuring that things won't change for the worse at some point.

I'm tellin' ya, it's the complete opposite of Christianity. Jesus preached true forgiveness and treating others as you would want to be treated yourself and putting yourself last. Islam preaches "get with the program or suffer the consequences", whatever those may be given the situation. Often they are death. Obvously a gross generalization, but it truly doesn't take but a rudimentary read of the first 10 chapters to scare the livin' daylights out of anyone not muslim.
