It would certainly be a nice thing to happen -- but it already did: Nuclear Fission.

This smacks of BS -- when chemists and medics start dabbling in quantum physics, hold on to your wallet!

Evolutionists have the same attitude toward their theories, in both cases neither know a whole lot to begin with, Evolutionist dig up dead animals and make wild claims about living ones, Physicists thow atoms and subatomic particles into one another trying to find something uniform in they're behavior.

Doing so is the brave adventurous side of scince.

Drawing premature conclusions is childish, sticking to them and refuting new evidence anti-scientific.

I'm making the statement pretty much entirely based on the nonsense I see reported.

If they do have scientists / engineers around, they are hiring idiots.

In fact, if he hadn't thrown his balls off the Leaning Tower of Pisa, we might still be arguing the point.

Hey I know Galileo made great sacrifices to advance science - but this one - just WOW!!

Oh yeah. The best part would be watching the futures price of crude drop to about $3.00 bbl.

It wouldn't. Some people are very focused on oil=energy. Of course we use oil for energy but we also use it in so many other ways that even if oil was not used for energy it would not drop to $3.00 a barrel.

Food is packaged in oil, windows are covered in it, it is sprayed on hair, CD's are made of it, computers are made of it, dishes are made of it. If we never used another drop for energy it would still be an oil fueled world.

Mills has been around for several years now,...

Since 1989, if I'm not mistaken.

That is an interesting law suit, but in ENGLISH -- what does it mean? Do they get to keep their patent? Is the legaleze all about quashing an alternative energy source? waht?

We would still need the oil for plastics, right? What % of oil is actually used for plastics?

Although another process called thermal depolemerization could turn the used plastics back into oil rather than fill our land fills or become medical waste. I know there is a plant in Carthage Missouri turning turkey offal into oil.

"Still waiting for that pill that turns a gas tank full of water to gasoline."

This is nothing new. These claims have been out in the wild for many years.
I knew an undertaker in Mississippi that was all excited over some guy he had met that had a way to run an engine with nothing but water.
He claimed to have seen a demonstration and was ready to jump in head first. This was about 10 years ago.

No more scientists on staff? Why is that? Do you know?

They don't need 'em. Journalism consists of paraphrasing press releases, so the hard work's already been done.
