We are giving him just what he wants: attention. (It caught mine, darn it, and I've never even heard of this silly skunk.) He's just one of those has-beens who wants to re-up his 15 minutes. I've learned that the opposite of love is not hate, but indifference. Ignore him; he will go away and eventually die.
I am afraid that this is not the case. People like Maradona are well known in the soccer hemisphere. They are multipliers in their countries and have great influence on the uneducated youth. Therefore this kind of dumb propaganda is dangerous and unpleasant to all of us. It is nessecary to be aware of it.
