Read my lips folks... the GOP is screwed next year.

I recall hearing that same attitude expressed in 2001, when Democrat Mark Warner won the VA Gubernatorial election.

2002 did indeed turn out to be an historic election. One of the rare times that the party of a sitting president actually gained seats in the Congress, with the Republicans doing the truly spectacular and retaking the Senate by a respectabl margin.

I tend to be a pessimist and have been wrong before. Nevertheless I see both Gov. races going Dem Tuesday and the CA ballot measures failing. I think Kaine could get to 50% so Potts won't even be the spoiler. Hope I'm wrong again!
