Two charged with UK bombing plot
(Filed: 04/11/2005)
Two men suspected of plotting terroists attacks on Britain have been charged with conspiracy to murder and conspiracy to cause an explosion.
One of the men is accused of possessing a video showing how to make a car bomb, while the other allegedly had a recipe for rocket propellants and guidance on causing an explosion.
A third man was charged with terrorism fundraising offences.
All three, who were arrested under the Terrorism Act earlier this month, were remanded in custody at Bow Street Magistrates' Court.
Waseem Mughal, 22, of Railway Street, Chatham, and Younis Tsouli, 22, of Richmond Way, Shepherd's Bush, were charged with conspiracy to murder, conspiracy to cause an explosion, conspiracy to cause a public nuisance, conspiracy to obtain money by deception and other offences under the Terrorism Act.
A third man, Tariq Al-Daour, 19, of Paddington, west London, was charged with terrorism fundraising offences.
He handed himself in to a London police station on Oct 22, a day after the other two men had been arrested.
The three men, who were all wearing tracksuits, were surrounded by guards throughout the 20 minute hearing.
The court rejected an application by their defence team to have their names kept secret.
Oh they are just unembraced, disenfranchised, unassimilated, impoverished misunderstood good little muslim boys...come on..haven't ya heard?
Link to article? - I'm not finding it on the linked site??
Does anyone know if any connection was found between the July 7th and the July 21st bombers?
Hmmm. Don't know what happened to the link at The Telegraph. Here's essentially the same story from The Guardian.
Thanks much!
