Name those towns where all those thousands of people live, enjoying Charles' work, if you would.
Markham in Ontario; Seaside in Florida; Habersham and dIon in South Carolina, Belmont in Virginia, Poundbury in Dorset, and Kentlands, Sandy Spring, and Lakelands in Maryland (among scores of others). These projects tend to attractively reference local vernacular architecture and residents are apparently more than satisfied with the lifestyle they offer.
It's possible to dislike Charles's idiocy on religious and political issues and still acknowledge that there is something valid in his efforts to deal with housing problems. And it's also useful to recall that not everyone can afford, or would want, a house personally designed for them by a student of Charles Alexander.
