Muslims are NOT persecuted. When was the last time you heard about a Christian or a Buddhist or a Hindu or even an athiest deliberately harming a Muslim. When was the last time Charles won a battle under the Islamic flag? Charles can't be a Constantine because the circumstances are completely different.
I could be mistaken but I think Ali Sina used it as more of a metaphor to get peoples attention rather than an actual comparison.
I think the point here was that he is keeping it a secret. He would have already attained those positions of power and influence by the time the cat was let out of the bag.

Perfect excuse for getting rid of the monarchy altogether.
