I just received this email regarding June's father:
TO ALL: My father died this evening about 7 p.m. Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers and efforts on his behalf. He died with dignity, not dehydration.
My deepest sympathy and prayers go out to June and her family.... I pray one day that the montra "death with dignity" is actually spoken with truth and integrity....
Will remember June, father and family at Mass tomorrow.

How horrible.
If the doctors and the hospital do not think your life is worthwhile...they will go so far as to kill you.
They refused to treat my Uncle for Pnemonia, because he had an ultimately fatal, neurological disease. The hospital refused treatment, and so did the doctors. They sent him home to drown in his own phlem. He died gasping for air.
It is no longer our choice about how to live, or die.
We have turned a corner in the United States.
