The late popular (particularly among the poor) Huey Pierce Long, Jr., D-LA, answered that questions in the early 1930's. The self-proclaimed "Kingfish" (himself a very wealthy man) said that the day would could in which the American people would also embrace fascism, as had Italy, Germany, and other countries. But in the USA, the Kingfish said the Americans would call their system "anti-fascism."
