I believe you but I think this time, they may have bitten off more than they can chew. The islamists will murder every socialist/communist they can get their hands on.
This sort of happened in Iran. The communist/socialists use the radical islamists to get rid of the moderates and those who really wanted a more enlightened govt, then the islamists started killing the commie/socialists as fast as they could.
Only here could they survive.
