Idiots!
It has NO effect since Federal law trumps State law.
Are you saying there are no conservative pot heads?
Apparently marijuana has left them lethargic and in a fog.
Oh, I've heard of a few conservative pot heads. Not that I know any personally, mind you. But I'm certain there must be-HEY!! WHO SPILLED BONGWATER ON MY AUTOGRAPHED 8X10 GLOSSY OF RONALD REAGAN????
Man this is going to empty out Madison WI
And the Constitution enumerates the powers of the federal government, which do not include banning the intrastate growing, selling, buying, or using of drugs.
Marijuana is not safe for anybody. Its unsafe in a manner of physical and mental health.
Even more true for alcohol; shall we ban that too? Does this clown even know how that social-engineering experiment turned out? (Hint: about as badly as our current one.)
Its unsafe for a society in the way of drug trafficking and violence.
Drug sales involve violence only because of anti-drug laws; when Prohibition ended, so did the violence previously associated with sales of the drug alcohol.
All of my pothead friends are conservatives.
*ducks*
Hey, I know a good Republican pothead who's so conservative, a dime bag lasts him all week!!! Nyuk nyuk...
Put down the bong.
Heck, my friends are so conservative, they won't even smoke weed grown in California.. said they refused to support communists!
*drum crash*
I got a million of em folks.
Dont even get me started on the "Who is John Galt?" rolling papers.
Initiative 100 was about marijuana, not alcohol. Stay on subject.
Tonight on the Hugh Hewitt Show, Colorado Governor Bill Owens denied the claim that Referendum C was a tax increase. He explained that because of the recession and recovery, individuals could afford to relinquish their average $400 yearly tax return. At least that's the way I perceived what Bill Owens was saying.
The way I understood Ref C, it would suspend tax refunds for the next five years, and the highest yearly revenue above the previously allowed amount would become the new base for what the government can keep for budget. It sounded like a liberal idea to me. Its a tax increase, so I voted against it. $400 is one months worth of savings for myself. I think I pay enough taxes.
Both are recreational drugs ... and the ban on the former is failing just as the ban on the latter failed.
Our nation suffers from the war against those who enjoy marijuana. It is really a much bigger problem than just the money wasted on trying to track us down. The real damage to society is what I call the wedge effect. Because cannabis users have to be so utterly careful with our associations - it severely limits our interaction with the society as a whole. Trust me society as a whole would benefit from allowing marijuana users to freely interact without risk of arrest or worse.
I know a few conservative pot heads. That article is bs.
Now we know where KOS will move (since he can no longer afford California)... these libs are a cancer on our society and they are spreading out like the illegal aliens.
“Because cannabis users have to be so utterly careful with our associations - it severely limits our interaction with the society as a whole.”
Good grief. Even the potheads of this era whinge about being inconvenienced and put upon. Please BUCK UP, score your weed like any pothead worth his salt has always done, smoke a bowl and leave the rest of us to our dull lives!
