yes the delay is a big deal because the Supreme Court hears an abortion case in late November. And we need another conservative on the court by then to make sure things go our way.

yes the delay is a big deal because the Supreme Court hears an abortion case in late November. And we need another conservative on the court by then to make sure things go our way Right..But I do think it's would be hard to do such a thing in less than 4 weeks (mostly blaming it on the delay due to Meiers thing).

Can you or anyone answer this question?...

I'm wondering if,

a) The justices that hear the case in court make their votes right after court date (ie. so O'Conner would have a vote in the decision)?

---OR instead---

b)The votes are made at the end of the "SC judicial season" (in the spring), where in that case the court transcript would be available for Alito to have a vote in the decision (not O'Conner)?
