Somebody had to initiate this and have the ability to give political cover and who better than elected members of Congress, one of which was co-president for 8 years, put a wall builder in the Pentagon that got sent on to finish it at DOJ. IMO of course.

I read that the painfully inarticulate John Conyers originally called for a Special Counsel investigation, so the DOJ got Fitz.
