The move was prompted by efforts on the part of the Muslim community to include a day off for Eid Al-Fitr, which marks the end of Ramadan.
Students are still permitted to take days off for religious holidays.
The school board decision will be revisited next year and could be amended.
Still, the intersection of religion and public schools was irresistibly tailor-made for O'Reilly, to whom a cell phone is an X-rated sex toy.
Only Faliero had voted against eliminating the days off.
But when O'Reilly's gofers called to inquire whether she'd appear on a show with a man whose idea of courtship is heavy breathing, she declined.
"I told them I had a conflict," Faliero explained. Her daughter had a soccer game Thursday, which was an infinitely better use of her time than showing up on O'Reilly's cheesy mosh pit of right-wing pandering.

Storms never mentioned the columnist's name, but I just know it was this pathetic little turd, Daniel Ruth. She suggeested calling the Tribune's owners in Virginia (Media General, I think) to complain, as complianing to the Tribune will do no good. Ruth is their "star" columnist, like Maureen Dowd at the NYT.
It's not the Tampa Tribune that O'Reilly has called that, it's the St. Petersburg Times, and he's spot-on with that assessment. Besides being completely in the tank for Sami al Arian, the Times has bitterly fought since Day One to make sure that John Evander Couey does not get punished for raping and murdering Jessica Lunsford, and has been tirelessly fighting to make sure that monsters like Couey are able to continue freely preying on kids without fear of punishment.
The Times, along with most of the rest of the media down here in Florida, doesn't give a sh!t about our kids and figures that theirs are safe in the private schools and gated communities that they are "entitled" to as the self-appointed intellectual elites. All they want is a steady stream of childrens' corpses to keep turning up raped and murdered in shallow graves to use to beat over the head of Jeb Bush and the Florida GOP.
