Man these editors must have broken something trying to spin this particular story.

The first you read the word 'muslim' is in reference to 'leaders praying for peace'. The word 'muslim' or 'islam' is not, conspicuously enough, mentioned in reference to the neighborhood, or the religious background of the boys that were killed.

I have the popcorn popped Milly! Come and see the show!!!

They have no work. They have nothing to do. Put yourself in their place,'' said Abderrahmane Bouhout, president of the Clichy-sous-Bois mosque,

Hmm. Sounds just like the palie argument.

"Islam cannot support a modern society."

It would appear so. Egypt does okay, but most
Muslim countries struggle to coexist with
the rest of the world. Without oil where would
they be?

I think it is the daily 'humiliation' that the French occupiers put the 'French' Muslims through on a daily basis. Time for Prince Charles to teach them to be more tolerant of the Islamic faith. Diversity is Europe's greatest strength!!!!

Great call!

BTW, is the monarchy anything other than a "wooden head" over in England? Doesn't seem as if there is much power there.

PS, on the Fox Report they just referred to these riots as resultant of a failure to integrate "immigrants." So I guess that's the new code word for "muslims."

Indeed. Apart from oil, there isn't a muslim controlled/dominmated nation on the face of the planet that has a society out of the third world.

Egypt does okay

Yes, but only a fraction of what they could do if they could somehow convert their wealth to investment-grade capital. Get all those apartment buildings registered as private property so they can get collateral for bank loans. There are $trillions going to waste. Streamline the recording process so it isn't a 20-year process that takes 500 steps. Such a large, industrious, hard-working population shouldn't be acting as if they are dirt poor when they aren't poor at all.

Then again, I suppose terrorism,....pardon me...., "societal consulting and adjustment," is an industry.

What's next? DA haircuts and custom grills on their Chevys?

Son, you're gonna drive me to drinkin'

If you don't stop driving that hot rod - Renault

Stick with the haircuts and the high-roll collars, a French low rider just isn't right.

If you didn't care that the whole city burned to the ground, I assume you also meant it's inhabitants, or just the improvements? If they want to burn it down, then maybe they should be the victims of their own folly?

What I meant is that any city/nation/region that doesn't protect itself by wisdom isn't going to get my pity regardless of what happens. The true French are just as much to blame as the French leadership.

The same in this country except that I don't think most Americans would let it get to that point. We'll see however as the day is moving in that direction.

As to Paris, no, I don't care! If it's gonna take a few tens of thousands of innocents to make the point, better now than under total dominance and submission and when there's still something that can be done about it.

Clearer?

I'm not sure that sending in teams to rape their young girls will have much effect at this stage.

a French low rider just isn't right.

Fact is, that Citroen made the very first low riders, complete with hydraulic suspension.
