Headline on Drudge's front page. The link to story wouldn't work for me.
UPDATE
AARON BROWN OUT AT CNN
Wed Nov 02 2005 15:43:11 ET
To: All CNN Staff
From: Jon Klein
We have made some programming decisions which will impact our prime time schedule as well as our colleague Aaron Brown. Aaron will be leaving CNN and is very much looking forward to some well-deserved time off with his family.
Aaron has made enormous contributions to CNN since his groundbreaking anchoring of Sept. 11th through the war in Iraq to the Tsunami to the recent hurricanes. Outside of the big stories, on a nightly basis, Aaron has provided our audiences with insight into the events of the United States and the world with eloquence and the highest journalist integrity.
Besides his stellar work as an anchor, Aaron stands as an absolutely brilliant writer, evident by the thoughtful perspective he injects into every story he touches.
Personally, I will miss Aaron and his wicked sense of humor. We cannot thank Aaron enough for the skills and professionalism he brought to CNN. Given his respect throughout the industry, there is no question that he will be missed.
1st CNN has to get rid of the desk she would sit behind at CNN and have her sit in a chair on stage like they do at Fox. THEN I will switch to watching CNN :-)
The first time I saw CNN's videowall, I was like WTH? What's the purpose of this? It's distracting as hell.
These 24 hour cable networks are becoming a joke only to themselves. There's 24 hours in a day, and they can only manage to talk about one story for days on end.
Only under silent protest. It's always on at Lunch and Dinner where I work (the company provides my food at this worksite). Unless I get there first, of course ;-)
Kind of makes you go HMMMMMMMMMmmmmmmmmmm. Does it?
CNN is still around???
I don't watch CNN. Is this a big deal?
Yep, Droolball cannot even crack the half mill point. Pathetic does NOT even begin to describe Hissy Matthews show.
Ahh...the ever useful "to spend time with his family" reason.
Brown got pink-slipped in favor of the silver haired fairy.
I never could stand Aaron Brown's sneer. Good riddance.
The ratings for O'Really never cease to amaze me. I almost never watch that guy and Mr. Prairie just can't stand him.
He could be sickeningly smug, that's for sure. But sometimes he wasn't.
Brown at least was an alternative in that time slot, now that Scarborough's gone over to the dark side, and Greta is all murdered girls, all the time.
I've never understood how he got his job in the first place. He has the personality of a limp fish, he's ugly, and he's not even a good soldier for his network (remember him staying out on the golf course instead of covering breaking news?)
I find myself keeping the mute button on most of the time. I read the scroll, also. Plus, it saves me from having to look up constantly with "FOX News Alerts".
With guest appearances by the lovely Kiran Chetry. ;o)
that would describe Brokaw too.
Don't hold back. Tell us what you really think.
Color Bars Would Beat Aaron Brown
What a shame! I will miss his snide remarks about my president and my country -- NOT!!!
On another note, why does Mess-NBC continue to broadcast?
I see him every now and then. I miss him and wish they would give him more to do. He has a great sense of humor. (James Rosen)
