Nov 4, 1980. Twenty five years ago this week! Carter goes down to one of the most humiliating defeats for any incumbent president. He barely manages to carry 6 states, and only got an outright majority of the popular vote in one--his own. Carter got a whopping 9% of the electoral vote.
I almost felt sorry for him when he gave his early concession speech. Now I revel in his humiliation! Live with the shame Jimmy. :)
