If the Republicans had any spinal fortitude, they would have made the Democrats pay for yesterday's stunt. The GOP should have agreed to continuing the investigation into pre-war intelligence only if the Alito hearings start by day X with a final Senate vote by day Y. For every day those deadlines are violated, the investigation would be put on hold for a month.

Let me repeat for emphasis, I am SOOOOOOOOOOOO tired of all this "new tone" approach to things. It's time open a 55-gallon drum of industrial strength spinal fortitude and begin applying it with a liberal dose of whup-ass.
I am, however, a bit confused by the move yesterday. Seems to me the LAST thing the Dems would want is for info about the pre-war intelligence to come out. It was the CIA that screwed up royally and at that point the CIA was purely a product of eight years of Clinton et al. Can they really be so dumb as to not realize that?
