Documents with dirty weapons technologies found in Chechnya

Snip: MOSCOW,- Documents describing technologies of 'dirty' radioactive, chemical and biological weapons have been found in Chechnya, Chief of the Russian General Staff Yury Baluyevsky said Thursday. He said Russia should upgrade its system of protection against such weapons.

Russia has technology to outsmart anti-missile technology

Snip: Russia has the technology for a strategic missile that could get around any existing or future anti-ballistic missile defense systems, the chief of the Russian General Staff said Thursday. "This is a very expensive technology and its [industrial] production depends on the situation," Yury Baluyevsky said. He said anti-ballistic missile defense systems were not efficient in their defense against existing types of weapons.

Regarding new dangers in Africa

Snip: The Polisario Front, the last remaining liberation movement fighting for independence in Africa, contested an earlier UPI report that it could be turning to Islamist organizations and organized crime.

In an article titled "New danger in Africa" published earlier this week United Press International cited a European intelligence think tank stating that the Polisario could be turning to radical Islam.

Syria police foil terrorists

Snip: DAMASCUS, Syria, Dec. 4 - The Syrian police clashed with suspected Islamic terrorists in the northern city of Aleppo on Sunday, foiling their plans to bomb sites in the city, Syria's state-run news agency, SANA, reported.

The brief official statement said five people were wounded in the clashes, including two of the suspected militants. The clashes took place near the Aleppo Department of Transportation.

Snip: Monday Dec 5 13:26 Terror mastermind Osama bin Laden may have visited the United States as a young man, long before declaring jihad against America and its allies, the New Yorker magazine has reported. The weekly, in its December 13 edition set to hit US newsstands today, reported that according a longtime acquaintance from his native Saudi Arabia, bin Laden made at least one trip to the United States, in about 1978, with his wife and oldest son, who needed medical treatment.

That article is very troubling. If they could get any of this stuff into Iraq think of the damage they can do.

And, the other story about bl traveling to the US makes one wonder why we wouldn't know for sure by his visa history. Of course, he may have used a false passport but why would he need to do that in the 70's?
