I'd be more inclined to think of a "virus" attack from them being the illness variety. Lots of e-coli being found in wells and city water supplies as of late...

John McCain - torture worked on me

Snip: Sen. John McCain is leading the charge against so-called "torture" techniques allegedly used by U.S. interrogators, insisting that practices like sleep deprivation and withholding medical attention are not only brutal - they simply don't work to persuade terrorist suspects to give accurate information.

Nearly forty years ago, however - when McCain was held captive in a North Vietnamese prison camp - some of the same techniques were used on him. And - as McCain has publicly admitted at least twice - the torture worked!

Two arrested in attacks on Oakland liquor stores

Snip: Deputy Police Chief Howard Jordan said that Donald Cunningham, 73, and Yusef Bey IV, 19, turned themselves in to face charges including robbery, felony vandalism, conspiracy and terrorist threats. Police have obtained warrants charging four other suspects with similar crimes and expect arrests soon.

Bey, who has been linked to a black Muslim group that runs the Your Black Muslim Bakery store chain, was taken to North County Jail and was being held on $200,000 bail, according to police.

About your black muslim arrests, the KGO radio a couple of hours ago, had the Police spokesman on the air, he said they were not arrested for arson or kidnapping.

And he has warrants for 4 more of them.

Hmmm. Good to know. Thanks MD.

I've started filtering the tap water before I put it into those 2 liter water bottles. When I need water for coffee or tea I used the bottled water. I have about 20 of those bottles and rotate though them. It's like damning up a stream - if the water supply is cut, I have the bottled reserves. Rotating though them keeps the stock fresh. This is besides the 6 cases I keep.

I do the same with my food. I have about a 2 month supply of canned, nonperishable, no-cooking-needed food on hand. Along with the fresh venison I've been munching on lately, I eat at least one item a day. When I restock, the newer items go in the back.
