Hikers Find Suspicious Bag On Popular Trail
TROUTDALE, Ore. -- A bomb scare shut down a popular tourist attraction Sunday.
Two hikers found a suspicious duffle bag at Horsetail Falls and brought it to the restaurant and gift shop at Multnomah Falls.
A manager looked inside and called police.
"He was going through it and there was a piece of paper that said bomb and a bag with some wires in it and stuff," park employee Leah Wong told KOIN News 6.
The Portland bomb squad blew up the bag as a precaution. They say there were no explosives inside.(snip)
