Says in the article that advair is one of Glaxos most profitable drugs....at darn near $200.00 for a 30 dose disc (which is mostly filler from what I was told--the actual medicine amount is almost imperceptible, but they added the filler so people "felt" they were getting a dose) I would believe it.
So much attention to the corruption of the oil business, but those in pharmaceuticals and health insurance are equally corrupt IMHO. The cost of drugs and health insurance are key factors for many problems our country faces. When I worked for an offshoot of one of the major pharmaceutical companies, their annual sales meeting was held in St. Lucia. Hardly the sign of budget constraints to my way of thinking.
