Suspect held in CTA bomb threat
A Chicago man who allegedly mailed a bomb threat to the Chicago Transit Authority in 2004 was arrested Thursday morning on the North Side, authorities said.
Tariq Ali, 28, of the 5100 block of North Sheridan Road, was arrested without incident by a joint terrorism task force, according to Robert Grant, special agent in charge of the FBI's Chicago office.
In April 2004, Ali sent a letter to the CTA threatening to injure himself and others with an explosive device, Grant said.(snip)
