They would either have the earned amount deducted from the welfare check or even loose the check completely.
If they work, they won't make enough to live on at labor pay and would loose the free housing and medical.

Yep. The welfare state in this country needs to be overhauled or elminated. There must be a better way. The welfare system was created to stop corruption in the 1930s, but the truly needy are only a small portion of today's recipients. I agree with you Granny - 100%.
