It's because the senate is one big country club-- after fights on the senate floor, they all go to the same parties and are the best buds. The problem is, RATs aren't sincere about it (and don't care what tactics they have to use behind the scenes), and Republicans want to be liked waaay too much. It's the most dysfunctional situation that I know of.

after fights on the senate floor, they all go to the same parties and are the best buds. Except for W. he stays home and he doesn't have parties that they can come to. One other reason the dems hate him so much. No more renting out the WH bedrooms!
