Maybe you've heard of him. He used to play for the Steelers.""
He is attractive. He is fairly articulate. He is not the brightest bulb on the tree. He will be a patsy for whoever puts him into any polital office.
Remember, you heard it from me. A friend from years ago knew him quite well. He loved the guy, but couldn't hold a long conversation with him.
BTW, you have an interesting way of quoting previous posts. It reminds me of someone...
Sounding more and more what I heard about that B-movie actor from California back in the 60s. They said those career pols in Sacramento would eat him alive, and he just didn't have the "depth" to deal with "real issues."
I don't know what 2nd hand information you got from your friend, but I know some PA state political hacks personally. I've worked with them, played golf with them and drank with them. In terms of "knowledge" of state goings on, they are as wide as the Delaware river, and as shallow as the oil sheen on that river only twice as slick and slimy. They are a thoroughly corrupt bunch, both Rs and Ds, and within my memory we have never once selected a chief executive who was not either from among them, or hand picked by that bunch of professional parasites.
It's way past time for an outsider who does not owe them a damn thing. Even if you're right, and Swann isn't up to the job of saving this state from more taxes, more corruption and more of our young people fleeing for other states, I don't see were we have much to lose by going with Swann. He can't possibly hurt us any more than the "professionals" have.
