Ok, here is the reality. Nobody outside of Washington (other than us political junkies, and we are junkies) knows or cares about Scooter Libby. They don't care if he was indicted. Thus, this action by the dems will simply make them look like they are trying to re-debate the issues that were central to the 2004 campaign.

Ladies and gentlemen, the collapse has begun. Let them shut down the Senate (or try). In the end, they will lose.

Furthermore, every day they can shut down the Senate is another day they don't have to have hearings on Alito. Wouldn't bother them if they NEVER had to have hearings on Alito, I'm quite sure of this.

. Let them shut down the Senate

This is what the DUmmies want. They had a letter writing campaign to their favored Congresscritters going on yesterday to shut the government down. An added benefit in their minds is a shutdown would shut the money flow off to our troops in Iraq and they would have to come home.

"Ladies and gentlemen, the collapse has begun. Let them shut down the Senate (or try). In the end, they will lose."

Some years ago, there was a book called "1857" (sorry, I loaned the book to someone who didn't return it, so I cannot give you the information) and it was about the nastiness that led up to the War Between The States.

Often I have recalled that when actual physical violence broke out, the whole thing went bad quickly. I have often thought that the day will come when we will hear about fistfights in the Congress, and who will be surprised? I think that day is near, someone is going to smack someone and then the game will be on. I in no way advance this, but I do think it will happen. If it does, all bets are off.

The Republicans had better quit being "Mr. Nice Guy" to these people.
