What? The law wasn't broken! The Special Counsel concluded Valerie Plame wasn't outed. Yet the Democrats, instead of accepting the truth, have decided to play politics with our national security. Its not like there are more important things to find to occupy their time.

I agree with you 100% that Plame wasn't outed -- not by any Republican, anyway.

But I don't think we can say that the "Special Counsel concluded Valerie Plame wasn't outed."

Fitzgerald seemed deliberately and repeatedly fuzzy on that point at his press conference last Friday. Technically, Plame may still have had the word "covert" stamped on her personnel file over at CIA in 2003, even though she wasn't actually doing covert work anymore. I'm guessing Fitzgerald has decided he doesn't have to nail down that issue one way or the other, because it's moot under the law if nobody knowingly and deliberately outed a covert agent.

What is accurate to say, IMO, is that Fitzgerald has concluded that neither Libby nor Rove deliberately outed someone they knew to be a covert agent.
