In some families Alzheimer's comes early, and in Rockefeller's case so does poor eyesight, and poor hearing.

If so, only because I get a lot of practice. I can always count on a few of us(even me once or twice) to go nuts over what we see or hear about whats going on in Washington.

I lost it over Miers a few weeks ago, and embarrassed myself. I am now calm, sober and confident that we are kicking Democrat tail, every which way.

It's not just you. He was embarrassed.

Given the temper tantrum that Reid threw, I suspect that there's a few dems that are embarassed. Probably enough to prevent a fillibuster.

Republicans are charged with not working with the Dems. I would suggest the Republicans really stop working or consulting with the Dems. Bring and intensify the conservative agenda in both houses. I would recommend that Republicans do their own investigation without the Dems. Tie the Dims hands at every turn. Stop the courtesy since these are the people trying to jail republicans at every turn.

Apparently the Dems plan to do this everyday. Just leave it in closed session. The Dems won't like that for too long, because it will deprive them of a source of publicity.

Actually, the Alito nomination had cheered me up a bit.

However, you are correct. If the Dems would just SHUT UP and stop obstruction Republicans/conservatives would be ambivalent and not vote making way for Dem gains. But the idiots don't know when they have a good thing going. As a result, they've just flipped me into supporting DeWine and Chafee IF they aren't replaced by primary challenges.

At this point it's no longer about RINO's, it's about treasonous childish scum on the other aisle.

One of the secrets of FR longevity is learning how to avoid stuff that makes your head explode. It's usually things that you can't do much about anyway.

You know the timing of this is interesting. Give the breaking news about extremely wide spread long term voter fraud in Detroit by the Democrat Machine could this Senatorial hissy fit just be a diversion tactic?</p>

You have to factor in how any action will be reported in the dem-enabling media. We do not operate on a level playing field.

I think we should be changing the rules of the Senate to reduce the ability and power of the Dems...for starters. When the split was 51/49 we compromised with the Dems to give them more authority. I don't believe we've ever "rebalanced" the Senate.

I think the spending cuts we're talking about should totally target Dem districts and the GOP should FORCE the matter through.

I think we should employ the Constitutional option.

I think Bush should get off his butt and start waging a PR battle to fight for the minds of the public.

When, not if, the dems try to shut down the Senate, the Senate GOP leadership should threaten with everything they have and then, upon the first refusal to comply by the Dems, enact their threats.

I think we should be starting up the new versions of the PACS, like the Dems did in 2004 and pushing big time money to conservative candidates from the school board to the city council to the Senate supporting ONLY those who toe the line and are engaged in this fight.

I'm sure I can come up with more.

Frist took the high road - since Democrats really don't know what that means themselves, they wouldn't know the high road if they fell on it.

My tagline sentiments since September. LOL!
