Correct me if I am wrong. [Regarding whether Wilson had planned a 1992 business trip to Niger, to which was added the uranium investigation.]

I've heard it mentioned many times, but I know that's not good enough, and I'll try to find a source. I know he also made at least one other trip in 1999, but I'm not confusing the 2002 trip with that one. I thought I've repeatedly heard that the uranium investigation was an add-on to a pre-planned business trip. It's a non-essential point, but it would provide one or two other reasons why Plame nominated Wilson for the trip, i.e., (1) he was already going there anyway, and (2) the CIA would pick up the tab. And it's also of interest because, if true, it would mean he had far less time for his investigation than would be the case if he went there for the investigation alone. This would cast further doubt on the seriousness and credibility of the investigation.
