If she even has the slightest hope of being reelected, she'll vote to confirm Alito.Especially since Katrina blew down the New Orleans planatation fences, and Mary and her fellow Lousiana Dims seem to be having a bit of a problem with rounding up all of the escaped slaves and bringing them back.

IMO, she's already lost her reelection bid in '08, as has Blanco. This is a red state that's getting even more red. Making a total fool of herself following Katrina didn't do anything to help her down here.
But the reason we'll be rid of both her and Kathleen is that the black vote in New Orleans has been totally dispersed all over the South. Remember the shouts for them to be able to vote in Louisiana no matter where they were right after the hurricane? It was pretty much laughed out of existence within 24 hours. Without that emergency backup, they're both toast, and they know it.
