If this was posted before, I don't remember reading it. It's a stunning piece and I hope the late niters will keep it bumped so it will catch the daytimers tomorrow. The following statement in the story really set me off:
"What Karl Rove apparently did was to hint to reporters about the fraudulence of the whole Wilson stunt, and for that the media mob wants him drawn and quartered. No good deed goes unpunished."
So .. our media has stooped this low .. that when the truth about a fraulent action becomes knowledge - it's not the story .. it's how can we shut Rove up.
I should be in shock at the petty, juvenile, disgusting display of arrogance; but somehow I'm not surprised at all.

WOW! I learned this a long time ago.
If things don't make sense, it's because we don't know all the facts; or in the vernacular, everything that's going on.

Parts sound familiar but in any event this is the story that got us to Libby and we do need be reminded.
Timely POST or repost if that is the case.

The part I don't understand is how did Wilson know about the forged documents ahead of time?

...Valerie Plames outfit who completely failed to anticipate the Indian and Pakistani nukes, and just couldnt figure out what was going on with Iraqi WMDs. Valerie Plames bosses are facing the axe for decades of failures. And its about time, because Iran is within sight of its first nukes. You dont suppose that has anything to do with the Plame/Wilson publicity stunt, do you? Yes, it does have to do with the Plame/Wilson stunt. These folks have worked to undermine the country during a time of war - and for the glorification of their own little fiefdoms in the CIA. Sick.
Time to clean house. The world's too dangerous to have incompetents running the show - clean 'em out, dump the Valerie Plames et al...

Seeing now that the CIA has become an instrument of leftist perfidy, is it a stretch to believe that the FBI did also?
And if this is true, can we not now believe that events such as OKC and TWA 800 were actually cover-ups to keep another leftist cabal in power?

I've imagined that Dubya has had some long, intimate talks with his father about the CIA. Shortly after 9/11, GHWB gave a speech at business luncheon in Texas that was televised. He was talking about the CIA being restricted from dealing with "unsavory characters" by the Church Commission. Twice he grimly said, "It's a dirty business." I'll bet it is.
