My guess is the idiot had no clue as to the meaning of what he said. In order for him to have apologized, a mountain of criticism must have come down on his head.

I believe that CBS has a policy of apologizing if someone watching their station is offended. In this case, I believe that the only person who ever watches SeeBS happened to see the comment and was offended...

John Roberts of course should have apologized. Really cheap, back-alley language. The interesting part will be if CBS comments on their employee's behavior.
McClellen lacks the huevos to tell Roberts that he was way out of line, and an apology will not "cut it". Roberts, one more Canadian with a Dan Rather fixation.
