Perhaps the Drudge headline combined with numerous emails urged the apology along quicker? Bwhahahahha!

My guess is the idiot had no clue as to the meaning of what he said. In order for him to have apologized, a mountain of criticism must have come down on his head.

It is! Roberts was probably trying to outdo David Gregory with the insult, earlier.

I would imagine the response from the public for that comment was overwhelming. Was 'forced' to apologize more or less

Wow...that's a first.

I believe that CBS has a policy of apologizing if someone watching their station is offended. In this case, I believe that the only person who ever watches SeeBS happened to see the comment and was offended...

Just called his boss and asked if there was going to be an apology. The slug suggested he hadn't seen the context of the comments yet.

That brought me to ask him if he minded if I posted that online.

Quick back track. I didn't say that, blah blah blah.

John Roberts of course should have apologized. Really cheap, back-alley language. The interesting part will be if CBS comments on their employee's behavior.

"John Roberts Just apoligized to McClellan by sayin "I'm sorry for my unfortunate choice of words this morning". McClellan just nodded in response."

McClellen lacks the huevos to tell Roberts that he was way out of line, and an apology will not "cut it". Roberts, one more Canadian with a Dan Rather fixation.

John Roberts, Canadian VIDEO MUSIC host (and sometimes "journalist" for See B.S. "news")

Roberts was born in Toronto, Ontario and grew up in Mississauga, and worked for many years in Canadian media before joining CBS in 1995. He was the cohost with Pamela Wallin of (Click link for more info and facts about Canada AM) Canada AM in the early 1990s, and also worked as a reporter and anchor with Citytv and as a video jockey with MuchMusic. In his Canadian media career, he was known as J.D. Roberts.
