I want to see the French Police do a "take down" using one of their traditional capes. With lead weights sewn into the hems, they toss the cape over the "perp" and then beat him senseless with their bludgeons while he struggles to escape. Priceless . . .

Pork not beef, if you please.

Sarkozy's father was Hungarian and his mother was of Sephardic Jewish descent (she was raised Catholic).

> the northeastern Clichy-sous-Bois suburb of the French capital...

No, it's not Cliche until cheese, monkeys and surrender are mentioned, along with wine and body odor.

TROP again.

This outbreak will die down, but the underlying problem is CERTAIN to get worse.

As many Freepers are aware, current demographics in France show Muslims will be the majority in France within 20 years.

What is less known is that France is ALREADY past the point of no return. Half of all current births in France are from Muslim parents.

Come on don't slander the Religion of Peace. It is the Hindus which burn wives. Mohammedians are much more civilized they just stab 'em.

Laurent Fabius, a former Socialist prime minister and also a potential presidential candidate in 2007, said the Clichy violence marked a failure for Sarkozy and mocked his frequent visits to such areas.

"When he announces that he's going to visit such and such a commune or suburb every week, that's not how we resolve those problems," Fabius said on Europe 1 radio.

"We need to act at the same time on prevention, repression, education, housing, jobs ... and not play the cowboy."

The French don't like cowboys, do they?

"...tear gas was fired into a mosque..."

Well well. Maybe Louis Fara-Con could intervene on this, preach peace perhaps. He could find some crater there. "I wonder if this crater was from a bomb? Could this be what triggered the riot?"

They don't count the poor people as being there, because they aren't French.

Actually, if memory serves, there were reports of muslims burning their wives in Paris. I know. It does sound hindu.

Most of the stories have focused on the police violence - not the riots that required the police to show up. The French capital proper is still a decent place to be, but the suburbs are a TOTAL disaster.

The violence began four days ago among residents of Clichy-sous-Bois over the deaths of two teenagers believed to be of African origin who were electrocuted while fleeing police.

African origin usually means muslims from northern Africa. This description sounds like the MSM wants this to be France's 'Rodney King' incident. The main difference is that the muslims probably earned what they got from the police.

Maybe some of the French could flee to NOLA. After all, the mayor doesn't want too many Mexicans there. A little French culture should satisfy him, you think? Maybe they could bring some French school buses with them, too, before the rioters burn them up.

The MSM fails to put this conflict in the proper context. This is the opening salvo in the fight for france between the Islamists and the french people. In europe, muslims are much like Afircan Americans in the US. They are segregated into slums, they have their own language, culture, and customs, and they do not want to assimilate into the french society. THeses slums are fertile breeding grounds for the Islamofascists who are currently exploiting these troubles to recruit new men to their jihadist cause. The french are to a large degree reaping what they have sown. Their lax immigation policies, history of failed former colonies such as algeria, and generous welfare benefits have sown the seeds of their own destuction.
