To: Canadian Outrage
I don't see how gay marriage is an issue of privacy. What is more "public" than a wedding, a family attending a school-sponsored event, company employment benefits being extended to a married spouse, and government, insurance, and pension benefits distributed to a surviving spouse?

How is it that invisible "rights" that seem to be missing from Constitution preempt the election results of a dozen states? This isn't Dred Scott. Homosexual marriage isn't destined as is race, gender, or many physical impairments. What is done in their bedroom is private. Wanting free health benefits by virtue of marriage makes it everybody's business.
