Hence, trying to make it appear as if the Court based its ruling on Europe or Africa or Asia is a total distortion.

Not when the judges openly admit it and call for the practice of looking at "international" law.

That is all very nice but there is really no such thing as "international" law merely the law codes of different nations and treaties. There is nothing wrong with studying those codes any more than there would be for an American scientist to study science in Russia or China.

Those who believe they cannot learn from others generally don't.
