Senator Leahy and I wrote to President Bush urging him to work with us to find a consensus nominee. The President has rejected that approach.

Reid meant another crony/diversity pick. We can see the good that did the President and it'll be a long time before he takes advice from the Democrats again! I like Scalito and I'm comfortable with him. We're going to have a debate about constitutional principles and judicial philosophy. Its one we can win! What makes me happy is the end of stealth candidates. I haven't felt this good in a long time.
