They may not immediately make the distinctions you make and may want to know why there is any real difference between the pundits' positions on Miers and Alito. And now that you can clearly see the difference, you can encourage others to not adopt the illogical and self-destructive postion that the people's right to urge the President to use his Constitutional power to withdraw a nomination is somehow equivalent to the Senate refusing to take a stand on the nominee, one way or the other, if the President continues to promote his nominee through hearings, debate and a floor vote.

I really want to go to DU and poke at them. 8) I've wanted this for so long, and they're all so angry about Alito. It's great. I am afraid that if I go there, I'll have to hose my computer down afterwards. I don't go to pornographic websites, so I'm not sure if I should go to du or not. 8)

What makes you think that I have "clearly" seen the difference? I haven't, I have chosen to ignore it for the sake of getting Alito on the court. Specifically, I do not believe that Miers opponents were simply "urging" him to withdraw the nomination, but instead they were attempting to force the withdrawal through political pressure that threatened the presidency and control of congress if they did not get their way.
