I believe she was in on it. Bush plays poker and plays it well. We now have Alito and the MSM is portraying him to be someone to the right of Attila the Hun.

Bush took abortion and religion off the table with Miers pick. Bush is being faulted by the right not because of Miers beliefs but by Miers lack of Constitutional law. Now we have the same candidate with the knowledge.

I've been thinking exactly the same thing ... W could've definitely been "gaming" with this, and Miers is a close enough an associate that she would've played her scripted part to bring out all the rattlesnakes and skunks to show their stripes ... ya never know with W .. chess, not checkers = strategery.
