This type of propaganda needs to be exposed so that no one else is fooled.
Hurricane victims who wanted water had some difficulty finding it at a relief station in Clewiston Friday.
Yes there was "some difficulty", there is always "some difficulty. What this liar wants you to deduce is that due to the Baptist volunteers handing out water other than Anheiser Busch water, there was "ADDED DIFFICULTY" for those in line, even though there WAS NOT "ADDED DIFFICULTY" for those in line.
The noted difficulty was just the normal difficulty and headache of needing and getting relief at any relief station.
The story says they wanted water (any water) but had difficulty finding it (trying to make you believe they had difficulty finding (any water) at all). (Nonsense) The story is playing with words, knowing that you instinctively know that those in need did not come looking for any particular water, so it must mean they could find any water at all. (Nonsense) The story is cryptically saying there was a search by victims for Anheiser Busch water (LIE), (and they (the victims) had difficulty finding "it" (the Anheiser Busch water), hoping you will think "it" means that the victims struggled to find water (any water).
These hacks behind this article knew if you tried to sue them for libel, they could say, "well the victims did have "difficulty"..."finding water", because getting help at a relief station is always a difficulty. Oh, no, we weren't really implying "added difficulty". Sure you weren't.
The volunteer group running a supply center doesn't like the company that donated the water, so they decided not to give it to those in line for help.
A calculated LIE with just enough wiggle room to avoid LIBEL. The author is using 'it', in order to confuse the reader that 'it' was the only water available at some point. (Nonsense)

Notice the careful choice of the words here "refused those...in need", used to stir your emotions as you picture the needy being turned away because the S.Baptists were refusing to hand "it" (any water at all) out to the needy in their time of need.
This is just a bald-faced lie designed to injure the SBC's reputation as these Baptists continued doing volunteer work to help people.
This premeditated lie was attempting(and succeeded) to make people believe that the SBC volunteers were somehow delaying or 'denying' water to people as they lingered, in thirst (LIE).
An honest article that was not trying to do an ungrateful hatchet job on SBC volunteers could have said:
Members of the Southern Baptist Convention handed out water to people and everyone got water as it came to their turn in line.
And the SB servers never stopped handing out water, or caused any extraordinary delays for anyone receiving water. They kept handing out water, they just didn't hand out Anheiser Busch water.
Residents lined up for miles to receive food and water at the distribution point. But the water was left on the sidelines by the Alabama-based group.
Notice, the story says they waited in line for water (any water) and then cleverly switches to 'the water' to make you think that those waiting in line for water (any water) did not get water (any water), because the water (only the AB water) was left on the sidelines. (LIE) There was plenty of other water still being handed out all along.
Whoever wrote and approved this lying propaganda had only one goal in mind. They wanted to injure the SBC's image in the eyes of the public, because they disagree with SB views on morality manifested here by the SBCs stand against producers of alcohol.
The people behind this story wanted to find some way to mount an unjustified attack, so they used propaganda.
