Unfortunately for the freedom seeking Iranians and with the many saber rattling threads being posted here recently, it appears that the current regime is not only arrogant but is looking to get it's nose bloodied severely. Personally, I believe that it will happen and it will not be pretty.

Who will bloody their nose? Us? Bush won't do that. He is afraid the MSM will vilify him. Oh sure, they already do that every day, but for some reason he is afraid of them.
As for Iran. Brute force is all they understand. They are 1930's Germany right now. The longer we wait, the stronger they get.

By threatening Israel, I think they were trying to do what Saddam tried in '91: change the subject. Didn't work then, won't help matters for the current Iranian regime now (although it won't necessarily hurt it either, given U.S. reluctance to take on these cavemen).
