That would seem just a little bit self-serving. Besides, doesn't Libby have to be found guilty of something in order to be pardoned?

Bush I issued pardons for Iran/Contra on Christmas Eve 1992, before his term ended. One of those pardoned was Caspar Weinberger-who was indicted on the eve of the 1992 election and didm't go to trial.

Nope. Another Clinton related precedent. He didn't need to have been found guilty of draft dodging for Carter to pardon him, but that pardon restored the draft dodger's eligibility for office.

no, ford pardoned nixon who wasnt even indicted for anything.
